Sedative supplements are known to enhance the bodies ability to relax and fall asleep, by releasing constriction in the smooth muscle and enabling anti-spasmotic activity. WHAT IS IT?
Valerian: was traditionally used in Europe as an ancient remedy for over excitement and sleeplessness. It contains a group of compounds called valepotriates that have an anti-spasmotic action, together with some of their co constituents and volatile oils have a depressive effect on the nervous system, and relax constricted muscles. Valerian is warming and on its own suits those with a cold depressed state. 

Hops: is a vine native to Europe but now widely available to growing naturally in North America. Typically used for it's bitter strobiles to flavour beer since the Protestant Reformation. Hops is also relaxing and anti-spasmotic like Valerian is used on tense, nervous states to relax and calm the mental, emotion and physical body, even used to ease gastiric upset. A pillow stuffed with hops was used for insomnia sufferers, to the success of King George 3rd, Abraham Lincoln also used a hops pillow. The name

Passion Flower: was utilised by the French soldiers during the First World War in the trenches to sooth the anguish of war, though she originated in Peru. It activates the supra-sensorial by soothing down the sensitive and exciting stressors that are related to it.
